Dubai: Team India captain Virat Kohli again reached the top-5 of the ICC T20 Rankings due to his superb game in the current T20 series against England. Huh.
Virat Kohli has already been the top batsman in T20 format and he is the number one player in ODIs. He gained a notch. He scored 73 and 77 runs against England in the second and third T20s respectively, which earned him 47 rating points and brought him to number 5.

KL Rahul, despite being a flop in the first 3 matches of the T20 series, remains at number four and is the top ranked Indian batsman. Shreyas Iyer moved up to number 31 with a gain of 32 places while Rishabh Pant gained 30 places to manage the 80th rank.

In terms of bowling, all-rounder Washington Sundar is ranked 11th with a gain of two places, while fast bowler Shardul Thakur is ranked 27th after gaining 14 places and Bhuvneshwar Kumar is ranked 45th after gaining seven places. Everybody has gained in the ranking.
Jose Butler has also returned in the top 20. He played an unbeaten 83-run match-winning innings in the third T20, which led him to the 19th position with a gain of 5 places and he is just 2 steps away from his career-best 17th position in October 2018. Johnny Bairstow moved up two places to 14th,
England team’s David Malan (Dawid Malan) holds the top position in batting. Opener Jason Roy also gained 4 places to reach number 24. Fast bowlers Joffra Archer (34th) and Mark Wood (39th) and left-arm bowler Sam Curren (74th) also moved up the rankings.
