Selector will talk to Malinga
Pramodya Wickramasinghe told Morning Sports, ‘We will talk to Lasith soon. He is in our planning for the T20 tours including the upcoming T20 World Cup to be held in October. We are working on long planning for the World Cup 2023. Our main focus is on 2 important aspects, which is age and fitness.

Malinga was not included in IPL 2021
After retiring from ODI cricket, IPL franchise Mumbai Indians released Malinga before the IPL 2021 auction. He is the highest wicket taker in IPL with 170 wickets in 122 matches. 37-year-old Malinga was associated with the Mumbai team since 2008. Looking at the 2 T20 World Cups to be held in 2021 and 2022, Sri Lanka will need the experience of Malinga.
