Dubai: Indian captain Virat Kohli has slipped to third place in the ICC Test Ranking rankings while Australia’s Steve Smith has moved up to second place. At the same time, middle-order batsman Cheteshwar Pujara has climbed two places to the eighth position.
Kohli (Virat Kohli) has 870 points in its latest rankings. He returned home after the first Test against Australia due to paternity leave. His wife Anushka gave birth to a daughter on Monday.

Smith (Steve Smith) is in second place with 900 points while New Zealand captain Ken Williamson is on top with 919 points. Smith scored 131 and 81 runs in the Sydney Test.
Pant made a big jump
Williamson (Kane Williamson) had scored 238 runs in the Christchurch Test against Pakistan. He has also become the Kiwi cricketer with the highest rating points in the ICC rankings.
Pujara (Cheteshwar Pujara), who helped India draw two half-centuries in the third Test, is in eighth place while caretaker captain Ajinkya Rahane (Ajinkya Rahane) slips a rung to seventh.
Rishabh Pant played innings of 36 and 97 runs, on which he jumped 19 places to reach 26th position.
