New Delhi: Former Team India cricketers Ajit Agarkar and Parthiv Patel have made a big claim about the ICC World Test Championship Final against New Zealand.
‘Pujara will score the most runs’
Parthiv Patel expressed hope, terming the role of Cheteshwar Pujara as important in this Test match. According to him, the number three batsman of Team India will be able to score the most runs in this historic match.

‘Shami will also be important’
The ICC WTC Final will be played between India and New Zealand (IND vs NZ) in Southampton from June 18 and Parthiv Patel feels that Pujara in batting and Mohammed Shami in bowling will prove to be important for the Indian team.
‘Take Pujara down to No. 3’
Parthiv Patel said in Star Sports’ program ‘Cricket Connected’, ‘If India has to win this match, then it will have to keep Pujara at number 3. If he stays at the crease for 3-4 hours in this match, then India will be in a very good position.
‘Virat’s team will win’
Parthiv further said, ‘I will name Pujara as the highest run-scorer in this Test match.’ Parthiv, who has played 25 Tests and 38 ODIs for India, hopes that Virat Kohli’s team will be able to win the final on the strength of a strong bowling attack with a strong batting order.
Parthiv praises Shami
Parthiv said, ‘Keeping cricket arguments aside, I will support India to win this Test match. I think Mohammed Shami’s role will be crucial in the Indian bowling attack. He has done really well in all conditions. Two other former India cricketers Irfan Pathan and Ajit Agarkar and New Zealand’s Scott Styris, however, called the Kiwi team a contender for victory.
Irfan’s claim on Williamson
Irfan Pathan said, ‘WTC final is the biggest Test match ever. I think New Zealand will be in a position of advantage 55-45. With that I think Kane Williamson will score the most runs while either Trent Boult or Shami will take the most wickets.
‘Virat will score the most runs’
Former India bowler Ajit Agarkar said, ‘It is difficult to say who will win the match but New Zealand will start as a contender in this match. As far as the highest run-scorer is concerned, I will take the name of Virat Kohli.
Stylish claim on Devon Conway
Scott Styris predicted that New Zealand could win the match by six wickets on the back of Devon Conway and Boult, who made their recent Test debut against England. He said, ‘I think New Zealand will win this match by six wickets. Devon Conway will score the most runs and Boult will be able to get the most wickets.
