ICC WTC Final: Team India’s Quarantine Period will not be easy, very strict rules imposed


Southampton: Team India is currently present in Southampton, England to play the final match of the ICC World Test Championship.

3 days quarantine

Strict quarantine rules have been made in England for the players of Team India. Indian spinner Axar Patel revealed that the team will have to undergo strict isolation for three days before practicing at the Aegis Bowl for the final of the World Test Championship against New Zealand.

India will get less time

The Indian cricket team will have very little time for preparations as the final match is going to start from June 18. On the other hand, the New Zealand team is playing a two-Test series against England.

Smaller Quarantine than Mumbai

All the players and support staff of Team India were quarantined for 14 days in a hotel in Mumbai before leaving for England Tour. Although the isolation period in Southampton is quite short.

Not allowed to meet fellow players

BCCI has posted a video of the Indian cricket team traveling on a chartered plane. In which the players have been talked about. Akshar Patel said in this video, ‘I slept very well. Now we have to be quarantine. We have been told that if we cannot even meet each other for 3 days, then we will be quarantined for so many days.

There will also be a series with England

India’s men’s and women’s teams left for England by a plane. After reaching London, the Indian team reached Southampton after traveling 2 hours by bus. After playing the final of the World Test Championship, India has to play a series of 5 Test matches against England. The women’s team has to play 1 Test, 3 ODIs and 3 T20 International matches against England.
