Sydney: After losing the third and last T20 match at the hands of Australia, Indian captain Virat Kohli has said that if there was a further partnership of 25-30 runs, Hardik Pandya could have removed the match. Despite captain Virat Kohli’s superb half-century innings of 85 runs, India lost by 12 runs to Australia in the third T20 match played at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Despite this defeat, India won the three-match series 2-1.
Kohli (Virat Kohli) said after the match, ‘At one time when Hardik started playing, we thought we could win it. Our batting was not right in the middle overs. Had there been a further partnership of 30 runs, it would have been a little easier for Hardik. We were on the way back. But it is good for us to end the 2020 season with a series win.
