Melbourne: In the second Test match played between India and Australia (IND vs AUS), India’s acting captain Ajinkya Rahane has said that in the first Test match played in Adelaide, the visiting team was just one hour bad. But this does not mean that the team player or the team is useless. Now both teams will be face to face at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in the second Test match starting on 26 December. Virat Kohli has returned home for the birth of his first child. Rahane will lead the team in his place.
Ajinkya Rahane, while talking to the media, said, ‘In the last Test match, we played a great game for 2 days, but we had a bad hour where we lost the match completely. After this, what has happened to us is that we have to support ourselves individually and as a team and play with our full strength in the next match, as we thought for the first Test match, to stick to it. .

Rahane is not captaining the team for the first time. He has also captained the team against Australia in Dharamshala in 2017. He said that he will work with natural emotions. Rahane said, ‘I learned from the 2017 Test match that as a captain you should keep up with your instincts and keep calm under pressure. So I feel that I should follow my arrows which I will focus on. I learned a lot from that test match.
He said, ‘I am not focusing on myself but my focus is on the whole team. It is a matter of pride for me to captain India. This is a great opportunity and responsibility. I do not want to take any kind of pressure. Yes, we had a bad session, but we are playing well and our batting and bowling are good. I keep calm but my batting is aggressive. We had a bad hour only. It is a matter of playing positive.
Before the departure of Virat Kohli, the team had dinner together and Kohli also gave a motivational speech to the team. He said, “We met Kohli before he left Adelaide. The team had dinner together. He had talked to all the players and told them to stay as they are, play their game as a team.” He told all of us to be positive and play according to our strengths. This is what we are doing all year.
