IND vs AUS: Australia’s squad announced for Sydney Test, David Warner returns


Melbourne: David Warner can play in the last 2 Tests against India. The selectors have announced the squad for the third and fourth Test matches, in which Warner has been brought out of the team, who is out of poor form, Joe Burns.

David Warner had a groin injury so he did not play the first 2 Tests in Adelaide and Melbourne. He suffered this injury in the second ODI played in Sydney last month.

In a statement released by Cricket Australia, Selector Trevor Hohns said, ‘Warner has made a strong comeback from his injury. We will give him a lot of opportunity so that he can play in Sydney. Hons said that Joe Burns has not fared well.

He said, “Unfortunately, Burns’ return was not what he and the selectors wanted.” Will Pucovski and Marcus Harris are the other 2 openers in the Australian team. Pukowski was also ruled out of the first two Test matches due to concussion in the practice match.

Hons said, ‘According to the protocols of playing Pukowski are at the last stop. They have no symptoms for the last few days. He will be fit to play in Sydney after an independent investigation and after the withdrawal protocols. Fast bowler Sean Abbott is back.
