Adelaide: Former Australian cricketer Michael Hussey believes that the Indian team management should support opener Prithvi Shaw and include him in the playing XI for the second Test starting in Melbourne on 26 December. .
Michael Hussey said, ‘I think Prithvi Shaw should be trusted right now. Yes, they have not scored runs in this Test match but it was a Test match with a great bowling and difficult pitch batting.

Hussey cited Australian batsman Joe Burns as saying, “Joe Burns averaged less than 7 in first class cricket.” The selectors reposed trust in him.
Hussey said, ‘Burns got out cheaply in the first innings but gradually he gained his confidence, worked on himself. You see the character of this player that he finished the match by playing half-century.
He said, ‘For Prithvi Shaw, find out about his character. Show confidence in them and tell them that ‘Look, we are supporting you’ Melbourne pitch will give them a lot. It will certainly not be there for speed and bounce. He clearly has a lot of talent.
The second match of the ongoing 4-match Test series between India and Australia will be played at Melbourne Cricket Ground from 26 December. India have lost the day-night Test played in Adelaide and are currently trailing 0–1 in the series.
