Sydney: Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis is under suspension for playing in the second ODI against Team India as he was injured during the opening match of the series played on 27 November. Stoinis groaned painfully after throwing his second ball of the 7th over. He immediately left the field and Glenn Maxwell completed the over.

The 31-year-old cricketer suffered pain on the left side of the stomach and will now be scanned to know the severity of the injury. All-rounder Cameron Green and Moises Henriques may join the second ODI at the Sydney Cricket Ground on 29 November due to Marcus Stoinis injury.

Steve Smith said, ‘I don’t know how Stoinis is. I haven’t seen him but hope he is fine but if he is not well then somebody has to come in his place and someone who is a bowler might Cameron (Green). Green is in good form both in bat and ball during the Sheffield Shield.
