Adam Lewis said that in view of this year’s changing season, he has prepared a very good wicket for the Sydney Test starting on 7 January.

He said in the virtual press conference, ‘Weather was a matter of concern for us and there was talk of not playing Test matches in Sydney. We know how much effort is required to prepare for such a test match.
Lewis said, ‘You have to understand that this is like a big final for us. This is the most important phase of the year for us. We have prepared for our side according to the weather and we feel that we have prepared a really good wicket.
Lewis was asked if the wicket would be the same as the one played between Australia and New Zealand last year, so he said, “The pitch behavior changes every year due to the weather, so we want to give them (teams) hard wickets.” Which also has a lot of grass.
Lewis said, ‘England team came here 3 years ago, the temperature was around 30 degrees, hot winds were blowing. It was completely different than this year. This year is very humid and rainy and the wickets have to be covered.
