IND vs AUS: Will Ravindra Jadeja play in Playing XI, this video opens all secrets

Melbourne: A good news is coming for Team India before the Boxing Day Test against Australia from 26 December. Actually, the Indian team’s dashing all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja got down to practice at the nets. Jadeja practiced for an hour and also bowled to his Saurashtra teammate Cheteshwar Pujara.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday shared a video of all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja on Twitter. The BCCI wrote, tweeting, ‘See who has returned to the nets. Ravindra Jadeja has started preparing for the Boxing Day Test.

The Indian team management is keeping a close watch on Ravindra Jadeja before the Boxing Day Test against Australia. This all-rounder can be included in the playing XI of the Melbourne Test. Jadeja suffered a head injury during the T20 International series and after that his leg muscles also got stretched, due to which he was ruled out of the first Test. India suffered a loss in the first Test and Jadeja returned to the net during this period.

If Jadeja is fit, then Andhra Pradesh batsman Vihari may have to be ruled out of the playing eleven. The reason for Vihari’s exit, however, is not his poor performance in the first Test in Adelaide, but the introduction of the best combination by Ajinkya Rahane and Ravi Shastri. Jadeja will replace Vihari on the basis of his all-round skills. Also, this will give us the option of landing on MCG with 5 bowlers.

Jadeja has scored 1869 runs in 49 Tests at an average of over 35, which includes one century and 14 fifties. He had scored half-centuries on previous tours of Australia and England. On the other hand, Vihari has scored 576 runs in 10 Tests, including a century against the West Indies, besides four fifties.
