IND vs ENG: Axar Patel, who took 6 wickets, said, ‘When things are favorable, then you should take advantage’


Ahmedabad: On the first day of the third Test being played between India and England (IND vs ENG), if one player has won everyone’s heart with his performance, then he is Axar Patel. He freed the English team’s sweat from his spin.

Axar Patel played an important role in the second Test match of his career, taking 6 wickets for 38 runs to reduce England to 112 runs. After the end of the first day of the third Test match, Akshar said that he got full benefit of favorable conditions.

Apart from Axar Patel, Ravichandran Ashwin took 3 wickets, leaving England out in 48.4 overs. In response to this, Team India has scored 99 runs for 3 wickets.

After the end of the first day of the day-night test, Patel said, ‘When things are favorable to you, you should take advantage of them. My goal was to bowl wicket to wicket and take advantage of the help from the wicket. In Chennai, the ball was not ‘skidding’ but was doing here and so more batsmen were out lbw.

He said that England batsmen were not adopting the right defensive attitude which helped them to dominate them. Patel said, ‘The reason for being more T20 cricket is its effect is seen on Test matches also and batsmen have become more aggressive. That’s why I focused on bowling on the right line and length.

Axar Patel said, ‘If the batsman is playing the ball well then you go to the backfoot but if he is not able to play the ball well and sweep and reverse sweep If you are doing, then you think there is a chance here.
