IND VS ENG: Ben Stokes violated important rules on first day of match, umpire gave Warning

Ahmedabad: On the first day of the third Test between India and England (IND vs ENG), Team India completely beat the visiting team. Joe Root’s team was all out for the fourth lowest score in their Test history. English players were seen surrendering in the match. At the same time, something happened in the match that should not have happened.

Ben Stokes made a big mistake

England all-rounder Ben Stokes was seen salivating the ball on the opening day of the day-night test, after which the ball had to be sanitized.

IND vs ENG: Axar Patel, who took 6 wickets, said, ‘When things are favorable, then you should take advantage’

The incident took place at the end of the 12th over when Ben Stokes was seen using saliva to shine the ball, forcing umpire Nitin Menon to talk to him. The ball was then sanitized.

ICC Rules

The International Cricket Council (ICC) had in June last year banned the use of saliva to shine the ball due to the Kovid-19 epidemic.

Under the ICC’s Kovid-19 guidelines, a team can be warned twice in each innings, but repeated saliva on the ball will lead to a five-run penalty that will be awarded to the batting team.

Whenever the bowler makes saliva on the ball, the umpires must clean it before starting the game with the ball.

Team India’s strong performance

On the first day of the third Test being played between India and England (IND vs ENG), if one player has won everyone’s heart with his performance, then he is Axar Patel. He freed the English team’s sweat from his spin.

Axar Patel played an important role in the second Test match of his career, taking 6 wickets for 38 runs to reduce England to 112 runs. Apart from Axar Patel, Ravichandran Ashwin took 3 wickets, leaving England out in 48.4 overs. In response to this, Team India has scored 99 runs for 3 wickets.
