Ahmedabad: In the current Test series between India and England, Rohit Sharma won everyone’s heart with his batting. Despite the turning pitch in the Pink Ball Test, the ‘Hitman’ made a half century.
On the other hand Team India’s vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane has failed to perform consistently well. After scoring 112 and 27 not out at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, he scored 22, 4, 37 and 24 runs in Australia.

India won the 2–1 Test series in Australia under the captaincy of Ajinkya Rahane. His captaincy was also praised during the entire series, but after returning to India, he has scored only 1, 0, 67, 10 runs in the ongoing Test series against England.
Even though the Indian vice-captain has been criticized for his batting, but former Team India batsman and Rahane batting coach Pravin Amre said that it is equally important to contribute to the win. Amre said on Sunday, “It has not been easy to bat. You can see that not many centuries have been scored.
He said, “The number of centuries reduced means that it is not easy to bat.” We can say that the second Test century was important. Especially when he partnered with Rohit. You can also contribute to the success of the team. It is not that you always have to score big for success.
Apart from Ajinkya Rahane and Ravichandran Ashwin, no other Indian has scored a century in the last 8 Tests. Earlier, even after failing in the first Test against England, Indian captain Virat Kohli also supported Rahane.
