New Delhi: The second Test match of the 5-match Test series is being played between India and England (IND vs ENG) at the historic ground of Lord’s Test. By the end of the third day’s play of this Test, the England team took a 27-run lead in the first innings. There was a time when England was moving towards a big score, but veteran fast bowler Ishant Sharma got Team India back in the match again.
Two wickets in two balls
Ishant Sharma, who brought the 111th over of England’s innings, turned the match in one over. In fact, Captain Root and Moeen Ali made a good partnership to get England back in the match. But Ishant sent Moeen on the fifth ball of this over and Sam Curran to the pavilion on the last ball. Apart from this, Ishant also took the wicket of dangerous batsman Jos Buttler. England missed out on taking a big lead on Ishant’s last-minute performance.
Still difficult to play in third test
Ishant Sharma, who performed well in the second Test, is a bit difficult to play in the third Test. Actually, there was an update on Shardul Thakur, who was injured after the first test, that he would be fit till the third test and would be ready to play. In the second Test, he was replaced by Ishant. Virat Kohli would definitely like to give Shardul a place in his team once again for the third test because he can show amazing with both the ball and the bat and the problem of India not having a long batting line-up was clearly seen in the second test.
England took the lead on the third day
The failure of Virat Kohli’s bowlers was clearly visible on the second day of the Lord’s Test between India and England (IND vs ENG). Keep pushing the team’s score. However, Inshat Sharma did wonders for the troubled team India and took 2 consecutive wickets. But the Indian bowlers could not stop England captain Joe Root and he single-handedly played an unbeaten 180 and the English team scored 391 runs in the first innings.
