New Delhi: No one can forget the Cape Town Test between Australia and South Africa in 2018. In that Test, Australia’s Cameron Bancroft, David Warner and Smith did ball tampering. After which these three players were banned. During this, photos of Bancroft tampering with the ball with sandpaper went viral.
In the second Test between Team India and England being played at the historic ground of Lord’s, some surprising pictures have come to the fore. On the fourth day of the match, England players are trying to do something by rubbing the ball with their shoes and pictures of this incident are going viral on social media.
Did England players do ball tampering?
Actually, there are spikes in the shoes of the players and which can tamper with the ball. The weather in England is good after the third day. There is no chance of rain and the pitch is good for batting. The bowler is not getting much help. The Indian bowlers tried a lot during Joe Root’s innings on the third day but the weather or the pitch did not help them.
It was sunny on the fourth day at Lord’s but Team India kept on losing wickets. However, Rahane and Pujara took over the team. Meanwhile, some pictures of England players are going viral on social media, due to which there has been a ruckus. It can be seen in these photos that the ball is under the feet of the players and because of this the fans are accusing the English team of ball tampering.

They are deliberately making the ball rough from one side to extract reverse swing which is clearly ball tampering. Match referee should have a look #ENGvIND https://t.co/uL6p9KPvQw

Steve Smith and David Warner did this act
Cameron Bancroft was caught on camera rubbing sand on the ball during the third Test against South Africa in 2018. That incident shook Australia and the whole world as Steve Smith and David Warner, considered to be the world’s best batsmen, were also involved in it. It was Steve Smith and Warner who asked Ben Croft to spoil the ball and he finished the polish by rubbing sand on the ball. The captain of that Australian team was Steve Smith.
