New Delhi: After defeating England in the Lord’s Test, now the eyes of the Indian team are on winning the Test series against England. Meanwhile, a big news has come out for the fans of Team India. In fact, a star player from England has indicated that he will not be able to be a part of the last match of the series against India.
This player will be out of the whole series
England wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler could be ruled out of the year-end Ashes tour due to concerns about having to take his family with him due to the coronavirus restrictions in Australia. Butler has already pulled out of the second leg of the 2021 IPL due to the birth of his second child. Also, Buttler has now indicated not to play in the final Test against India at Old Trafford. With the due date of his second child approaching on the first day of the final Test against India at Old Trafford, Buttler may leave the match to be with his wife Lewis and two-year-old daughter Georgia.
‘I am ready to forget cricket’
In 2019, Buttler had his stint with the Rajasthan Royals cut short in the IPL to return home for the Georgia birth. Butler said in an interview to the Times on Sunday, ‘Definitely the most important thing for my wife. If it means forgetting cricket for a while, then I am ready to forget it. Before going to Australia, England has to play in the T20 World Cup to be held in the UAE in October and November. This means that the players participating in both the events will be away from their families for four months.
Australia has strict rules
Butler said, ‘Kovid is very challenging for everyone and Australia has a very strict policy regarding this. Another problem is that it’s been a long time now. Now the bio bubble is becoming very difficult for us. Playing cricket in England is almost like being on tour. Families don’t come and go. Earlier you could reach home in between matches but now things have changed.
