New Delhi: The fourth match of the 5-match Test series is being played between India and England at The Oval. On the third day of this match, the Indian batsmen performed brilliantly and once again got the team back in the match. Rohit Sharma, Cheteshwar Pujara and KL Rahul, all the batsmen did well. But after KL Rahul was given out, there was a ruckus on social media.
Rahul got out due to third umpire’s mistake?
Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul gave a great start in India’s second innings. There was a great partnership of 83 runs between these two batsmen. But this partnership was broken by James Anderson on the first ball of the 34th over. Jonny Bairstow caught Rahul behind Anderson’s ball. Actually, for this wicket, the players of England made a strong appeal to the on-field umpire, but the umpire gave Rahul not out.
Soon after, without wasting any time, England captain Joe Root decided to take a review. It was seen in the review that when the ball came out of Rahul’s bat, there was definitely movement in the lines of the Snicko meter. Then the third umpire gave Rahul out. But Rahul seemed completely unhappy with this decision. On social media too, users expressed surprise with this decision. Actually, from Rahul’s reaction, it seemed that his bat did not hit the ball but his pad, after which there was movement in the Snicko meter. Various reactions are being given on social media regarding this decision.

Why Not @ECB_cricket using Hot Spot , here it was @klrahul11 ‘s bat that hitting his pad not the ball hit his bat . It’s very poor umpiring , @ICC should look after these kind of things. @ESPNcricinfo @cricbuzz @SkyCricket @bhogleharsha @BCCI @ShaneWarne #ENGvIND #KLRahul

Umpire didn’t hear anything from bat and snicko showing that big a spike, clearly bat hitting pad made that happen, third umpire didn’t even take a sec to make decision. #ENGvIND#KLRahul #ENGvsIND pic.twitter.com/IbhKuWWxAF
