IND vs ENG: India washed out England by 66 runs in the first ODI, taking a 1-0 lead in the series


New Delhi: The Indian cricket team has beaten England by 66 runs in the first ODI. While batting first in this match, India gave England a target of 318 runs, in response to which England were all out after scoring 251 runs. India are now 1–0 ahead in the three-match series.

The batsmen showed a great game

In this match, the Indian team, who came out to bat first, scored a big score of 317 runs. Opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan scored the highest innings of 98 runs. Apart from Shikhar, captain Virat Kohli scored 56 runs. KL Rahul and Krunal Pandya finished the innings brilliantly. Krunal scored an unbeaten 58 and Rahul scored an unbeaten 62 not out. Ben Stokes took 3 wickets for England.

Bowlers made a comeback in the match

Chasing the target, the England team got off to a great start by their openers Jason Roy and Johnny Bairstow. Both shared an excellent 135-run partnership for the first wicket in just 14 overs. At one time it seemed that England would win this match comfortably. But for India, Krishna, who is making a debut in this match, opened India’s account by sending Roy to the pavilion. After this, England’s wickets went one after the other and the entire team could only score 251 runs in 42.1 overs. Famous for India took 4 wickets. Apart from this, Shardul Thakur took 3 and Bhuvneshwar Kumar took 2 wickets.

India is now 1-0 in this series. The second match of this series will be played in Pune on 26 March. In such a situation, India will have their eyes on winning the series.
