Karachi: The debate on the pitch continues in the four-match Test series between India and England. Former Pakistan captain Inzamam ul haq has also criticized the Pitch Controversy of Ahmedabad. Inzamam says that the ICC should take action against it.
Inzamam raised questions on the pitch
Inzamam-ul-Haq said on his YouTube channel, ‘I can’t believe a Test match was over in two days. This type of pitch is not good for Test cricket. In such a situation, the ICC should take action against it. Inzamam said, ‘Did India play very well or did India win because of the wicket? Should such a wicket be in a Test match? ‘
Pitch told for test cricket is bad
Inzamam said, ‘I think India has been playing good cricket for some time. After losing the first Test against England, India made a great comeback, but then making such a wicket is not right for cricket. Let me tell you that the ruckus about the Pitch Controversy increased when India defeated England by 10 wickets on the second day in the third Test to take a 2–1 lead in the four-match series. The pitch was severely criticized by former England captains and a group of British media such as Michael Vaughan.
Tight on Ashwin and Akshar
In the third Test, in front of the bowling of Ravichandran Ashwin and Akshar Patel, the English batsman was seen filling the water. Inzamam said on the bowling of Ravichandran Ashwin and Akshar Patel, “Why should I praise Ashwin and Akshar, when Root took five wickets for 8 runs on this wicket.” Inzamam said, ‘I don’t think Team India would have been as happy after defeating England as they felt after defeating Australia at their home. It is not right for cricket to prepare such a wicket. From this, a good T20 scorecard can be seen. The ICC should take action on this. Inzamam further said, ‘What kind of wicket was it that the Test match did not run even two days and 17 wickets fell in a single day. I believe that domestic conditions should be taken advantage of, but there should not be such a pitch.
Akhtar targeted Team India
Earlier, former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar had targeted Team India in his YouTube channel. Shoaib Akhtar said, ‘A pitch where there is an excessive turn and where the match ends in two days, it is not a good thing for Test cricket. India is a very strong team and in that case they should have prepared a good pitch for the Test.
Shoaib Akhtar said, ‘India would have beaten England even if it had played on a better pitch, but it did not need to make such a pitch. Team India did not have to be afraid. Akhtar said, ‘Was a helpful pitch made for Team India in Melbourne? How did India win the series there?
