London: A 5-match high-profile Test series is to be played between India and England on British soil from August 4, but before that a bad news is coming out of Team India’s camp. Team India captain Virat Kohli and Test team vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane have been injured, which can prove to be a big blow.
Kohli-Rahane suffer injury ahead of Test series
A medical update has been issued by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on the injuries of Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane. A statement issued by the BCCI said, ‘Captain Kohli was having some problem in the hip, after which the medical team of the board advised him to stay out of the three-day practice match.’

The BCCI said in a statement that Ajinkya Rahane, the vice-captain of the Test team, is suffering from the problem of hamstrings. Ajinkya Rahane had to take an injection due to a problem with the hamstring. According to the BCCI, Rahane has a swollen hamstring. He has been injected. The BCCI medical team is monitoring Kohli and Rahane.
