IND VS ENG: Ollie Pope is coming to increase the tension of team India, replace injured Zak Crawley

Chennai: England (India vs England) will start the Test series against India from 5 February. After the completion of the period of separation, English players have started practice and after this, Ollie Pope has been included in the team.

Jack Crawley injured

England’s young opener Jack Crawley has suffered a wrist injury, due to which he could not practice. Now middle-order batsman Oli Pope has been included in his team.

On the other hand, Zak Crawley suffered a wrist injury due to slipping in the dressing room. The report of his scan is being awaited. The ECB said in a statement that he could not attend the practice session due to injury.

Olly Pope returns to the team

Pope (Ollie Pope) suffered an injury while fielding during the last Test against Pakistan in August last year. The operation was performed after he slipped his shoulder bone.

Ollie Pope, who was undergoing rehabilitation, accompanied the team on a tour of Sri Lanka, although he was not part of the team. This helped them adapt to the conditions of the Rehab and subcontinent along with the support staff of the England team.

England board gave a statement

The England and Wales Cricket Board said in a statement, ‘Surrey batsman Oli Pope has been included in England’s Test squad for the tour of India’.

It said, ‘The Pope has fully recovered from the left shoulder injury sustained in August 2020. England’s medical team is satisfied that they are available for selection ‘.
