New Delhi: After suffering a crushing defeat by 227 runs in the first Test against England, the Indian team made a great comeback by winning by 317 runs in the second match. The last two matches of this series will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The third Test match of the series is the 100th Test match of the career of veteran fast bowler Ishant Sharma. On this special occasion, President of India Ram Nath Kovind gave a special gift to Ishant.

President Ram Nath Kovind presented a special cap and memento to Ishant Sharma on completion of the 100th Test match. Ishant Sharma achieved this special feat as he landed in the third Test against England on Wednesday. Earlier, President Kovind (Ram Nath Kovind) inaugurated the Narendra Modi Stadium.
Debut in 2007
Ishant Sharma made his Test debut in 2007 against Bangladesh in Dhaka. Ishant Sharma has taken 302 wickets at an average of 32.22 in 99 Test matches so far. Ishant has 103 wickets in 39 Tests on Indian pitches, while 199 wickets in 60 Tests on foreign pitches. His best performance in India is nine wickets for 78 runs, while out of home he has taken 10 wickets for 108 runs.

Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium is the largest stadium in the world in terms of spectator capacity. In this stadium, 1 lakh 10 thousand people can be present simultaneously. The BCCI has already allowed 50 per cent spectators to come to the ground for this match, in which case more than 50000 people can be present in this match.

The opening ceremony took place at the Narendra Modi Stadium before the third Test match. The stadium was inaugurated by the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind. The Home Minister of India Amit Shah was also present at the inauguration ceremony.
