New Delhi: Team India played a draw against England in the first test of the five-match series. The second Test will be played from tomorrow at the historic ground at Lord’s. But just before this Test, England has added a new player to its team. This player can create problems for Team India in the second test.
This bowler came in England’s team
Lancashire fast bowler Saqib Mahmood has been included in the England squad as cover for the second Test against India. It is learned that veteran pacer Stuart Broad suffered a calf muscle injury during a training session at Lord’s on Tuesday and Saqib has found a place in the team as his cover.
Great record of Saqib
The 24-year-old Pakistani-origin Saqib has played 16 limited-overs matches for England, including seven One Day Internationals and nine T20 Internationals. He has taken 21 wickets in total. Saqib has 65 wickets in first-class matches. The England and Wales Cricket Board meanwhile informed that off-spinner Dom Bess has been released and will return to Yorkshire.
Rain became villain in the first match
After the fourth day in the Nottingham Test between India and England, Virat Kohli’s army was moving towards victory. At the end of the day, India had scored 52 runs for the loss of one wicket. Cheteshwar Pujara and Rohit Sharma returned unbeaten on 12-12. On the last day, India needed 157 runs to win and the team had 9 wickets remaining. But the rain spoiled all the hopes of the team.
