Chennai: In view of the risk of coronavirus epidemic, BCCI does not want to take any offense for the upcoming India-England Test Series. In view of this, the players of both the teams are being regularly conducted COVID-19 Test.
England all-rounder Ben Stokes, fast bowler Jofra Archer and opener Rory Burns took part in the first practice session at Chepak ground on Saturday after a tough quarantine while the rest of the England team Members were also found negative in the second corona test.

All three were not part of the Test series in Sri Lanka. Ben Stokes and Joffra Archer were rested for workload balance while Rory Burns was out of the tour due to the birth of his first child. After passing the 3 RT-PCR test, these players practiced on the net.

These three cricketers reached India before the rest of their teammates. England media manager Danny Reuben said, ‘The first group of players Archer, Burns, Stokes practiced today. He would practice for two hours every day for the next 3 days. England’s second coronavirus test has been negative.
The England team will start practice from 2 February. The first Test will be played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai from 5 February. After this, the second Test match will also be on this ground. The remaining 2 Tests of the series will be played at Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad.
