New Delhi: The third Test match of the series between India and England (IND vs ENG) is to be played at Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad. In this match, if fast bowler Ishant Sharma is included in the playing XI, then he will become the cricketer to play the 100th Test.
When media was asked for interview during a 2019 Ranji Trophy match by Ishant Sharma, he cut himself off by calling himself ‘Buzz Hua Diya’. Now after nearly 14 months of this, these reliable bowlers of Indian cricket are preparing to achieve a new place.

Ishant, meanwhile, could not play 5 matches due to injury but now he is on his way to becoming the second fastest bowler to play 100 Test matches for India after Kapil Dev. Ishant said in Ferozeshah Kotla then, “Hey man, what will you do by interviewing me?” I am an extinguished lamp.
Ishant’s former Delhi partner and coach Vijay Dahiya feels that he will be the last fast bowler to play 100 Test matches for the country. Dahiya said, ‘I think I will say it with complete certainty. Ishant will be the last Indian fast bowler to play 100 Test matches.
Vijay Dahiya further said, ‘I don’t think anyone else will be able to play 100 Test matches. Most fast bowlers protect themselves for IPL and limited overs matches and in such a situation it will be very difficult for India to play 100 Test matches.
For the last 16 years, Ishant’s partner and current captain of Delhi, Pradeep Sangwan, believes that when Virat Kohli and Ishant Sharma took part in the Delhi Under-17 trials, he was clearly a different bowler. Sangwan said, ‘He is so tall and again his waving hair, we used to tease him. Look, Brother Shahrukh has come long.
He said, ‘Even in the under-17 days, he was very tall and used to bowl very fast. We knew he was special. You must have seen that by the time Virat led us to win the Under-19 World Cup in 2008, Ishant had become a Test player and did not need to play in that tournament.
Ishant Sharma took 226 wickets in his first 79 Tests but he has taken 76 wickets in the last 20 matches, which seems that the Delhi fast bowler has adapted himself according to the needs of the team.
Dahiya said, “Dhoni used him as a defensive bowler who kept the bridle on one end. He used to rely on Ishant to play this role. You know how he remained in the team for so long because it is important to know what your captain wants and to walk accordingly.
Due to his hard work and fitness, he has been doing 8 to 9 overs in a spell test by test. Sangwan said, ‘He’s been doing 8 to 9 overs in every spell for the last 18 years at a speed of 140 km. Now he is going to be 33 and even then he is doing so long with almost the same speed.
