London: On the fourth day of the second Test match between India and England at Lord’s, Team India missed its biggest match winner Ravichandran Ashwin. In the second Test, Virat Kohli replaced Ravichandran Ashwin with Ravindra Jadeja in the playing XI, but Jadeja’s performance with both ball and bat was very poor. In the second innings of the Lord’s Test, Jadeja was dismissed for 3 runs.
The purpose of giving Jadeja a chance turned out to be a flop
The purpose of including Ravindra Jadeja in the playing XI proved to be a flop. In this test match, Ravindra Jadeja has neither taken a single wicket nor has been able to play any big innings. England’s batsmen are not facing any problem with Jadeja’s straight balls, on the contrary, runs are being scored on Jadeja’s balls.
Team India missed this match winner
On the fourth day of the Lord’s Test match, Team India missed its biggest match winner Ravichandran Ashwin. On the one hand, while England’s off-spinner Moeen Ali was creating problems in front of India by taking wickets, on the other hand, great spinner like Ravichandran Ashwin was not included in the playing XI by Team India.
Inclusion of Jadeja proved to be a loss-making deal
The inclusion of Ravindra Jadeja in the playing XI has proved to be a loss deal for Team India. Had Ravichandran Ashwin been in Team India, the England batsmen would not have been able to survive in the first innings. Australia’s great spinner Shane Warne spoke after Moeen Ali bowled Ravindra Jadeja. Warne said, ‘How a spinner should be in the team and in gestures said that Ashwin should be in the team.’
Shane Warne raised questions
Shane Warne wrote on Twitter, ‘A spinner can turn the game and surprisingly, so you give a chance to the spinner every time no matter what the circumstances! You don’t pick a team just for the first innings. Spinner is necessary to win.
A spinner turning the game!!!! Surprise surprise, this is why you always play a spinner no matter what the conditions ! Remember you don’t pick a team just for the first innings. Spin to win @SkyCricket

India aren’t out of this – Ashwin is going to be a real handful. Pitch drying out, Moeen was finding a bit of turn early in the game – 150 lead and India have a chance.
