Ahmedabad: The fourth and final match of the four-match Test series between India and England will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Team India, captained by Virat Kohli, will capture the series in the fourth Test match and reach the final of the World Test Championship (WTC).
Eye on entry in finals
India had to face defeat in the first match played in Chennai, while they won the second and third Test to take a 2–1 lead in the series. If India wins this match or even draws it to the series 2-1, then they will reach the final of the World Test Championship, where they will face the team of New Zealand in June who already have the title. Has entered the competition.
Team India is not known for the draw
Team India, captained by Kohli, is not known for the draw. This team descends to victory and the draw is the last option of this team. This was proved recently in the fourth Test against Australia in Brisbane, where Team India converted the draw going towards victory.
Toss will be important
Team India’s vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane said that the pitch in the fourth test can remain the same as in the second and third tests. However, if England manages to perform well on this pitch, then it could be harmful for India. If England scores well while batting first, then India may have problems in the second innings.
Kohli is not thinking about WTC
Meanwhile, when Indian captain Kohli was asked if the pitch would help India. To this he said, ‘No, I don’t think so.’ Kohli also said that he is not thinking too much about the WTC final, because the team wants to win as many Test matches as possible and thinking about it distracts.
Batsmen need improvement
Looking at the way batting was a complete failure in the third Test, there is a need to improve on batting technique. However, this match was played with pink ball which was spinning. England batsman and Rahane had accepted that it is easier to play with red ball on such pitches. The batsmen need some improvement. They have to concentrate on playing straight.
