New Delhi: India defeated England by 10 wickets in the third match of the four-match series played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The last match of the series will also be held in this stadium, before which many veteran players have criticized the pitch of this ground. Meanwhile, Indian team captain Virat Kohli has given a befitting reply to those who criticize the pitch.
Kohli attacked critics
Before the last Test of the series, Indian captain Virat Kohli has attacked those who criticized the pitch. Kohli (Virat Kohli) said in the press conference before the final test, ‘There is always more hullabaloo and much more talk about the pitches that spin. He said that everyone is saying a lot about the spinning track. I think our media should answer all these people. Similar pitches are found in the Indian sub-continent. My focus as a batsman is only on scoring so that I can win the match for the Indian team.
There is a problem with the technique, not the pitch
Virat Kohli said that players should focus on their technique, not on the pitch. He said, ‘It is unfortunate that everybody keeps talking on the spin pitch and everyone talks as long as their work is done. Then there is a test match which lasts for the fourth or fifth day, then no one says anything, but if the test ends in two days, then everyone has problems. All players, not the pitch, should focus on correcting their technique.
India also lost the match in three days in New Zealand
Virat Kohli also mentioned a match in New Zealand. He said, ‘We lost in New Zealand on the third day in 36 overs. I am confident that no one here had written about the pitch. It was just how poorly India played in New Zealand. He said, “No pitch was criticized, how the pitch was behaving, how much the ball was moving, how much grass was there on the pitch, no one came to see it.” Let us know that during their last tour in New Zealand, Indian batsmen were a complete failure in front of the New Zealand fast bowlers. India suffered 0–2 on that tour.
