New Delhi: Indian team captain Virat Kohli has returned to form by playing an unbeaten 73 against England in the second T20. On the basis of this innings of Virat, India beat England by 7 wickets. With this, the Indian team has also gained 1-1 in the five-match series. After this innings of Virat, the former opening batsman of Team India, Virender Sehwag has tied the bridge to praise Kohli.
Compared to Sachin
Virender Sehwag has compared Virat Kohli to legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar. In a conversation with Cricbuzz, Sehwag said, ‘Kohli reminded me of Sachin in the manner in which he returned unbeaten after finishing the match. Sachin also used to say that if you are playing well someday then try to score as many runs and return to the dressing room only after finishing the match for the team. Because you do not know whether you will be able to score runs in the next match or not.
Young batsmen should learn
Sehwag said that young batsmen like Rishabh Pant and Ishan Kishan need to learn from Virat Kohli. Once you freeze at the crease, do not lose your wicket comfortably. Sachin also used to play with this thinking and Virat’s batting also shows the same similarity.
Virat and Ishaan led India to victory
In the second T20 against England, Virat Kohli and Ishan Kishan won India on the basis of excellent innings. Virat played an excellent innings of 73 not out in this match. While Ishaan played 56 innings in his debut match only. The third match of the series is to be played on Tuesday. In such a situation, India would expect similar performance from these two batsmen.
