New Delhi: The fourth and final Test being played between India and England (IND VS ENG) is becoming exciting. Where on the second day of the Test, the innings of Team India were seen faltering, then Rishabh Pant handled the innings and played a brilliant century. At the same time, Washington Sundar took the responsibility of the team after Pant and played a tremendous innings. However, he once again missed his century.

On the third day of the match, Washington Sundar, together with Axar Patel, further increased Team India’s score. Sundar performed brilliantly with the ball as well and took India to the big lead.

However, Washington Sundar will be disappointed after his innings. Sundar scored an unbeaten 96 runs in 174 balls. Even after not getting out, he missed a century by 4 runs. Actually Sundar would have completed his century if Siraj and Ishant Sharma were not out. Both players returned to the pavilion without opening an account, due to which they failed to complete a beautiful century. Team India scored 365 runs in the first innings.

The 21-year-old Sundar scored 96 runs off 174 balls but he was left alone at the other end as the last three wickets fell quickly. This is not the first time a batsman has not been able to complete his century without being dismissed.
1974-75 – Gundappa Vishwanath was unbeaten after scoring 97 against the West Indies.
1985 – Dilip Vengsarkar was unbeaten against Sri Lanka at 98 runs.
2012-13 – Ravichandran Ashwin was unbeaten on 91 against England.
