Batting first, Mumbai Indians scored 155 for six in 20 overs, in reply KKR achieved the target in 15.1 overs losing three wickets. Apart from Iyer, Rahul Tripathi also played his bat fiercely. Chasing the target, KKR lost the first wicket for 40 runs, but after that Iyer and Rahul together made the Mumbai Indians bowlers cry. Rahul played an innings of 74 not out off 42 balls. During this he hit eight fours and three sixes. After this win, KKR has reached the top-4 in the points table, while Mumbai Indians have slipped from the fourth place to the seventh position.
