Changes have been made in the schedule of the series between India and Sri Lanka after the cases of Kovid-19 (COVID-19) came to light in the Sri Lankan cricket team’s camp.

The limited overs cricket series between India and Sri Lanka will now start from July 18 after a case of corona infection was found in the Sri Lankan camp. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah has given this information to PTI.
Shah said, ‘The ODI series between India and Sri Lanka will now start from July 18 as a case of corona infection has come to the host team’.

First of all, Sri Lanka’s batting coach Grant Flower and data analyst GT Niroshan have been found positive in the Kovid-19 test after returning from Britain. After which another name has been added to this list.
Quoting Sri Lankan sources, ‘Newswire.IK’ said that batsman Sandun Veerakkodi has also been found to be Corona positive. He was with 15 senior players who are staying at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel.
What was the previous schedule?
According to the old schedule, the ODI series between India and Sri Lanka was going to start from July 13. The next two matches were to be held on 16 and 19 July. Talking about the T20 International series, the matches were to be held on 22, 24 and 27 July. At the same time, now three ODI matches will be held on 18, 20 and 23 July at Premadasa Stadium while T20 matches will start from 25 July.
