ING vs ENG: Kohli training hard before the Test series, the bat is ready to fire


Durham: Indian captain Virat Kohli and vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane, who were out of the practice match against County XI, have now returned to training. Kohli and Rahane took part in the batting season along with Cheteshwar Pujara and Mayank Agarwal.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) posted a photo of the batsmen batting in the nets, tweeting, ‘Team India is back and training at Durham Cricket Club’s center wicket.’

Indian team battling with injury problem

The Indian team in England is battling with the problem of injury and three of its members have been ruled out of this series due to injury. Opener Shubman Gill has already returned home due to a leg injury.

Test series starts from 4th August

While spin bowling all-rounder Washington Sundar and fast bowler Avesh Khan will also not be part of the Test series due to injury. BCCI recently selected opener Prithvi Shaw and middle-order batsman Suryakumar Yadav as replacements for these players. The first match of the five-match Test series between India and England will be held from August 4.
