IPL 2020: After Dhoni, now this star player will put ‘double century’ in IPL


Abu Dhabi: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni (MS Dhoni) became the first player to play 200 matches in IPL 2020. After Dhoni, now the captain of Mumbai Indians Rohit Sharma has a chance to achieve this record.

Star player Rohit Sharma will soon complete his 200 matches. Rohit has played 197 matches in IPL so far.

The 39-year-old Dhoni achieved this feat in the 37th match of the season against the Rajasthan Royals at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium. With this, Dhoni has become the first player to play 200 matches in IPL. He has previously scored 4568 runs in 199 matches.

On his achievement of playing 200 matches in IPL, Dhoni said, ‘You talk about it, but I only know how I have achieved it. It is a good feeling, but at the same time it is a number. I am very lucky that I have been playing for so long without any injury.

Let us know that Suresh Raina is at number three, Raina has played 193 matches in IPL. After which Dinesh Karthik’s name is included in this list. He has played 191 matches. At the same time, RCB captain Virat Kohli has played 186 matches in IPL so far.

Dhoni has played 184 matches so far in the IPL as captain, in which he has won 107 matches while 75 losers and one has not yielded any result. He is the only captain to win more than 100 matches in the IPL.

Dhoni has made the Chennai Super Kings champions three times in 2010, 2011 and 2018 under his captaincy.
