Dubai: Chennai Super Kings will face Rajasthan Royals (RR) tomorrow in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020). Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batsman Ruturaj Gaikwad has joined the team after starting negative in two mandatory tests of Kovid-19 and has started practice.
The 23-year-old Maharashtra player was in isolation for two weeks due to being infected with the Corona virus. Due to this, he was not part of the team in the first match of the current season of IPL against defending champions Mumbai Indians.
CSK shared this batsman’s picture on Twitter and wrote, ‘First thing you want to see on Monday morning. See who came Smile on face and eyes like heart, Ruturaj ‘.

Let us know that 13 members of the CSK team were found to be Corona virus positive last month and also included two players Ruturaj and Deepak Chahar. Chahar and 11 other people had recovered before the illness. Chahar started practice after two mandatory negative results and also played matches against Mumbai. Ruturaj, however, had to wait for a long time while he was on segregation at the Dubai Situation Center.
This regular member of the Indian ‘A’ team is being seen as an alternative to Suresh Raina in CSK. Raina withdrew from the IPL for personal reasons. It is believed that the right-handed young batsman had impressed CSK captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni in Chennai’s team camp before leaving for UAE.
According to the medical instructions of the IPL, any player who comes positive in the Kovid-19 investigation is kept on segregation for 14 days. After this, it is approved to enter the IPL bio-bubble (bio-safe environment) only after coming negative in two different tests.
The player, however, has to undergo BCCI medical tests before starting the practice which assesses physical fitness.
