At the award ceremony, Samson said, ‘My game plan was to stand there and kill. If the ball is in my area, then I will go for it, if the ball is in your area then it is important to have the desire to hit it. He said, ‘I worked a lot on my fitness, diet and training because my game is of power hitting. I think there is a demand for a long kill in this generation. In these 5 months I had time to work on it. I feel that I have increased my strength.
Samson is also a wicketkeeper and he also took 2 good catches against Chennai. Rajasthan have two more wicketkeeping options in the form of Robin Uthappa and Jose Butler. Butler is not yet associated with the team. Samson said, “Everyone likes to do wicketkeeping, nobody likes to run on the field, but it depends on the coach.”
