CSK CEO Kashi Vishwanath told PTI-language, ‘He will start practice from today (Friday). He has got the necessary approval from the BCCI. The team is practicing hard and is in good condition. We are waiting for our first match.
In the first match of IPL, last year’s runner-up CSK will face champions Mumbai Indians on 19 September. After reaching Dubai, a batsman of the team was also found to be Kovid-19 positive, which will be examined again on Saturday.
The Kovid-19 positives of 13 members of CSK team were found, due to which the team started the practice late. CSK suffered a major setback due to the withdrawal of seasoned players like Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh.
Vishwanath said, ‘We will miss our senior players, but it will be a chance to prove ourselves by doing better for others. Whatever players we have, we are confident of doing well with them.
