Abu Dhabi: Defending champion Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Rohit Sharma (Rohit Sharma), who opened his winning account on Wednesday in IPL 2020, has said that the team implemented its strategy well on the field so it was successful in winning the match. Mumbai, batting first, scored 195 runs in 5 overs in 20 overs. The Kolkata Knight Riders’ strong batting order was restricted by Mumbai bowlers to 146 runs for 9 wickets in 20 overs.

In the award ceremony after the match, Rohit said, ‘It is a matter of implementing their strategy properly, which we did. We were always ahead in the match, but it is a matter of doing it continuously. Rohit scored 80 runs in this match match with the help of 6 sixes and 3 fours from 54 balls. He was also elected ‘Man of the Match’ for this innings.
Regarding his innings, Rohit said, ‘6 months is a long time without cricket. I wanted to spend some time on the wicket. Could not do this in the first match, but am happy that I could do it today. It is not easy to play long innings here. I just wanted to stand up and kill him.
