Missed. Yet Kolkata captain Dinesh Karthik is proud of the team. Batting first, Delhi scored 228 runs losing 4 wickets in 20 overs. Kolkata could score 210 runs after losing 8 wickets.

In the award ceremony after the match, Karthik said, ‘I am proud of the way the team batted. We continued fighting, which is the nature of the team. To be honest, a few more sixes could have won us the match. So there is not much fault of the bowlers.
He said, ‘Probably 10 runs more, but if we had 2 more sixes, we would have won the match. We wanted to give more time to Andre Russell so that he could make an impact. We will talk to the instructors about the role of Sunil Narine (), but I have full faith in Naren (Sunil Narine).
