In this way, he will also take up the role of ‘Brand Ambassador’ of the franchise. Warne has been associated with the Rajasthan Royals since the franchise’s inception in 2008 and had also given the team the Indian Premier League title in the same opening year.
Warne will work with head coach Andrew MacDonald as a team mentor. He was also a teammate of Victoria until 2003–07. He will do this in collaboration with franchise’s cricket chief Zubin Bharucha.
Warne said in the press release, ‘It is always a good feeling to be with the Royals, my team, my family if I talk about my dual role. It will be a thrill to work on all levels of the franchise that I love so much.
