new Delhi: After months of uncertainty, the 13th season of the Indian Premier League starts in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from Saturday. The UAE is the place where many players have not played yet and will try their luck on the pitches there for the first time. This is the second time in the history of IPL that the entire IPL will be held outside India. Earlier in 2009, due to the Lok Sabha elections, the IPL was organized in South Africa. At the same time in 2014, the first half of the IPL was played in the UAE and the reason for this was the Lok Sabha elections.

IPL 2020 starts after all difficulties
Although the IPL was scheduled to be held in India from March 29, but it was postponed due to Kovid-19 and then it kept on turning black when it did not happen. After the postponement of the BCCI T20 World Cup, the BCCI was able to get a window for it and now the IPL will be played in three cities of UAE, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah. The first match of the league will be played at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Saturday between the current winners Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings (MI vs CSK).
However, due to Kovid-19, this time the IPL will be played in an empty stadium without spectators. The audience has always been the most important link of the IPL and in such a situation it would be a bit strange to play the IPL and watch it on TV. Although it is expected to be seen by crores of people on TV. Last season, Mumbai Indians captained by Rohit Sharma and Chennai Super Kings captained by Mahendra Singh Dhoni had emerged as strong contenders for the title and this is the same time. Due to the uncertainty of the T20 format, the remaining six teams also cannot be ruled out.
UAE’s circumstances will play an important role
Delhi Capitals, (DC) Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) have not won the title yet and all three teams would like to complete this shortfall this time. Who is so successful will know at the end of the tournament. UAE pitches are slow and helpful for spinners, but here batsmen are also expected to get help.
Initially, the fast bowlers can get help but after a little time has passed, then the bowlers will have to avoid the batsmen through variation. The heat and humidity here will definitely play an important role in the performance of the team and the players. It will also be interesting to see how the players keep themselves motivated without the audience.
