IPL 2021: Delhi Capitals’ captaincy will be snatched from Rishabh Pant! Know the whole matter

New Delhi: Team India cricketer Shreyas Iyer has recovered from his shoulder injury and has also started preparing for the remaining matches of IPL 2021. However, Rishabh Pant’s tension must have increased as soon as he recovers.

Pant was appointed captain in place of Iyer

In Iyer’s absence, wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant was made the captain of Delhi Capitals. When IPL 2021 was postponed indefinitely after the entry of Corona virus in the bio bubble, Delhi’s team was on top of the points table. In such a situation, now after Iyer’s recovery, Pant can be removed from the captaincy.

Iyer said about the captaincy

Team India batsman Shreyas Iyer said that he will be fit to play in the remaining matches of IPL 2021 but is not sure that he will be made the captain of Delhi Capitals again. He said, ‘I don’t know about captaincy. It is in the hands of the owners, but the team is doing well and we are on top and that matters to me. Our target is to get the trophy. Delhi has never been a champion before.

Shreyas Iyer was injured

26-year-old batsman Shreyas Iyer got injured during the series against England. He suffered a left shoulder injury, due to which he was also ruled out of IPL 2021.

IPL will start from September 17

IPL 2021, which was postponed due to Corona on May 4, will now be restarted in September and its final will be held in October. The remaining matches of IPL 2021 are going to start from September 17 and the final match can be played on October 15.

Delhi had missed the trophy last year

The team of Delhi Capitals led by Shreyas Iyer was the runners-up in IPL 2020. Even at that time the IPL was played in the UAE. Delhi lost to Mumbai Indians in the final.
