‘Team made with holder’
Former West Indies cricketer Brian Lara believes that Sunrisers Hyderabad should team up with players like all-rounder Jason Holder in the next season of IPL.
‘Holder was successful even in bad season’
Lara told cricket.com, ‘Holder shone even in a disappointing season. I don’t know whether he is an out and out player of T20 or not but I think he should make a team with players like him in his team.
Lara said on foreign players
Brian Lara said that having a local player as captain allows teams to be more flexible with their overseas players for four slots in the playing XI.
Lara praises Mumbai
Lara said that it was difficult to find positivity in a team whose performance kept falling with every match. Lara, however, heaped praise on Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians, who scored their highest score in the IPL despite being ruled out of the tournament on Friday.
Holder will be in SRH again next year!
Sunrisers Hyderabad removed David Warner from the captaincy in the middle of the season and handed over the command of the team to Kane Williamson in his place. However, even this did not affect his performance. Now it will not be surprising if Holder is retained in the next season to improve the performance.
