Abu Dhabi: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) bowling coach Lakshmipathy Balaji has praised Ravindra Jadeja for his match-winning innings against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in IPL 2021, saying that the all-rounder Has improved his batting in pressure filled conditions.

Jaddu’s brilliant batting under pressure

Former India fast bowler Balaji said in the post-match press conference, ‘I think it was exactly a year ago when Jaddu won us the match in the last over in the second match against KKR. I remembered him and thought if Ravi (Jadeja) is playing, he will perform something magical. He has improved his batting under pressure.

KKR’s mentor surprised

Ravindra Jadeja scored 22 runs in 8 balls as Chennai defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 8 wickets in the match played on Sunday. Meanwhile, KKR’s main mentor David Hussey said that the famous Krishna (Prasidh Krishna), who bowled the 19th over, was left behind by better player Ravindra Jadeja.

David Hussey said, ‘PK (Samvid Krishna) has consistently bowled well in the death overs. This includes the last two matches as well. So getting him to bowl was part of our strategy. Unfortunately today the better player defeated him. I am sure that PK will definitely come back and become a world-class bowler.
