IPL auction 2021: Pujara’s entry in IPL again, MS Dhoni’s team spent so much money


Chennai: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) bought India’s Test batsman Cheteshwar Pujara (Cheteshwar Pujara) at their base price in the players’ auction released in Chennai on Thursday for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 season. Pujara’s base price was Rs 50 lakh. Apart from this, Rowman Powell, Shaun Marsh, Corey Anderson, Darren Bravo (base price 7.5 million) were not sold.

Also, Van der Dussen and Martin Guptill, and Pawan Negi also did not get any buyers. Apart from this, Chennai Super Kings added all-rounder Krishnappa Gautam, who did not play a single international match, with a strong bid of Rs 9.25 crore. Krishnappa had a base price of Rs 20 lakh and Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad vied to buy him in between.

Kolkata agreed to give Krishnappa up to one crore, but Hyderabad went ahead of them and bid up to five crore rupees for Krishnappa. After this, Chennai Super Kings also jumped in the bid and added all-rounder Krishnappa with a strong bid of Rs 9.25 crore.

At the same time, wicketkeeper batsman Vishnu Vinod was added by Delhi Capitals with a base price of 20 lakh rupees. Sheldon Jackson was included in his team by Kolkata Knight Riders at a base price of 20 lakh rupees.

Mohammad Azharuddin was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore at a brace price of Rs 20 lakh. Wicketkeeper batsman Kedar Deodhar remained unsold despite his base price being Rs 20 lakh. Apart from him, Vivek Singh remained unsold.
