Sharjah: In the 16th match played in IPL 2020 on Saturday, Delhi Capitals (DC) beat the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) team by 18 runs. With this defeat, KKR lost their second match in this IPL season.
Knight Riders have reached the fifth position in the points table after losing this match. Meanwhile, we are going to tell you about the reasons, because of which the team of Kolkata has failed to beat Delhi.
Delhi’s first wicket not found soon
KKR captain Dinesh Karthik decided to bowl first after winning the toss, but that did not prove to be right for the team as Delhi Capitals opener Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw showed a terrific 5.5 56 runs in the over, due to which Kolkata got the first wicket on the last ball of the powerplay.
KKR bowlers failed in Sharjah
The manner in which the bowlers have been in bad condition in this tournament on the ground of Sharjah in the last two matches, the same story was with the bowlers of Kolkata Knight Riders. Alam has been that on this historic ground, the Delhi batsmen hoisted the KKR bowlers and set a target of 229 runs in 20 overs in front of Kolkata.

Sunil Naren became a matter of concern

Chasing the target of 229 runs from Delhi Capitals, KKR’s team was holding their own in the match at one time. But in the 13th over of their innings, the Kolkata team lost Nitish Rana 58 and captain Dinesh Karthik 6 wickets in two consecutive balls. Because of which the match slipped from KKR’s hands.
Eoin Morgan out on a crucial chance
Despite the fall of the wickets, KKR’s Eoin Morgan did not give up and attacked the Delhi Capitals bowlers to lead Kolkata to victory, but when Knight Riders needed 29 runs in 9 balls, Morgan was out went.
In the first over, Eoin Morgan hit Kagiso Rabada for a six off sixes. In this match, Morgan scored a stormy 44 in 18 balls with the help of 1 four and 5 sixes.
