KL Rahul was the frontrunner till the end, defeating Bumrah, the Purple Cap in the name of Rabada

Dubai: Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) team may not make it to the playoffs of IPL-13 (IPL 2020) but the bat of team captain Lokesh Rahul (KL Rahul) has spoken a lot this season. In this season, KL Rahul has made his impact by scoring the most runs. From the beginning till the end of the IPL, no player was able to snatch the orange cap from Rahul and Rahul scored 670 runs in 14 matches and named the orange cap.

He was followed by Delhi Capitals (DC) opener Shikhar Dhawan. Dhawan has scored 618 runs in 17 matches. Captain David Warner of 2016 winner Sunrisers Hyderabad, who is out in the Eliminator, is in third place. He has scored 548 runs in 16 matches in the 13th season.

Delhi captain Shreyas Iyer is at the fourth position in this list. He scored 519 runs in 17 matches. Ishan Kishan, who played an important role in securing the fifth IPL Trophy to Mumbai Indians, scored 33 not out in the final, scoring 516 runs in 14 matches.

Apart from this, Delhi Capitals fast bowler Kagiso Rabada has retained the Purple Cap after the IPL-13 final. Rabada acquired the Purple Cap from Mumbai Indians fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah. South African fast bowler Rabada had 29 wickets from 16 matches before the final match. After the final, he has now taken 30 wickets from 17 matches and hence he has named the Purple Cap.

Bumrah did not get a single wicket in the final and was second in the list of bowlers who took the most wickets with 27 wickets in 15 matches. Bumrah’s teammate Trent Bolt was third with 25 wickets and Royal Challengers Bangalore leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal was at number four with 21 wickets.

At the same time, leg-spinner Rashid Khan of Sunrisers Hyderabad was at number five with 20 wickets in 16 matches.
