‘Let’s keep cricket free of personal attacks’: Sachin Tendulkar backs Arshdeep Singh after dropping crucial catch in match vs Pakistan

Young fast bowler Arshdeep Singh is being trolled a lot on social media after India’s loss to Pakistan in the Asia Cup Super 4 match. The youngster dropped the catch of batsman Asif Ali in the 18th over and it proved to be a costly mistake as the big-hitter sealed the match for Pakistan in the 19th over.

Since the incident many former India cricketers have come out in support of Arshdeep and even Virat Kohli also supported Arshdeep and said that anyone can make such mistake.

Now, former India great Sachin Tendulkar has tweeted in support of Arshdeep and asked fans not to indulge in personal attacks.


“Every athlete representing the country gives their best and always plays for the nation. They need our constant support and remember, that in sports you win some and you lose some. Be it cricket or any other sport Keep it free from personal attacks. @arshdeepsingh Keep working…” Sachin tweeted.

Even former Pakistan captain Mohammad Hafeez asked fans to stop trolling Arshdeep and said that cricketers are human beings and they can make mistakes.

India will take on Sri Lanka in a crunch game in the Asia Cup Super 4 stage on Tuesday.
